Jiminy Cricket Cookie SuckersSource: Recipe by Kitty - http://www.strainedpeas.com - used with permissionMakes: 2424 whole Oreo Double Stuff Cookies24 lollipop sticks1 pound dipping chocolate or almond bark1/2 teaspoon peppermint extractAssorted candy sprinklesCarefully remove one side from each cookie so the middle is exposed. Using the end of a potato peeler, carve a trench wide and deep enough to snugly insert a lollipop stick into each cookie. Firmly re-attach side to each cookie, being careful not to break or crush it. (It may be helpful to lightly brush frosting middle with water before re-attaching cookie side.). Set cookies aside.Line 2 baking sheets with wax paper and set aside.In a glass bowl or double boiler, melt dipping chocolate or almond bark. Once chocolate has become liquid, add peppermint extract and stir well. Now you are ready to coat your prepared cookies. Dip each cookie carefully, making certain they do not separate in the melted chocolate. Hold each dipped cookie over chocolate after dipping to let excess chocolate run back into bowl, then carefully lay onto wax paper lined baking sheets. Quickly sprinkle wet cookie with candy sprinkles, then let dry. Repeat process with each cookie sucker until all are complete. (If you experience trouble dipping your cookie suckers, you can also paint sucker with chocolate mixture, using pastry brush, one side at a time.)When cookie suckers have set and dried, wrap each with a small square of plastic wrap, then tie securely with a short length of ribbon or yarn. Store in a cool dry place.SUMMER HINT: For a cool, refreshing summer treat, place cookie suckers in freezer at least one hour before serving. Peach Jelly ChewsVegetable oil 2 (16 ounce) packages frozen unsweetened sliced peachesAbout 3 3/4 cups granulated sugar 3 envelopes (2 tablespoons total) unflavored gelatine 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel 1 tablespoon lemon juiceOil an 8- or 9-inch square metal pan.In a 6- to 8-quart pan, preferably 11 inches wide (see NOTES), combine peaches and 1/3 cup water. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, until fruit mashes easily, 10 to 12 minutes.Whirl fruit mixture in a blender or food processor, a portion at a time, until smoothly pureed. Return to pan.In a bowl, mix 3 1/2 cups sugar with the gelatine. Add to fruit mixture.Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring often. Stir and boil 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium and stir often until mixture is thick enough to leave a trail when the spoon is drawn across the pan bottom and juices in the trail are just beginning to turn a darker gold, 25 to 35 minutes. At once, remove from heat.Stir lemon peel and lemon juice into peach mixture, then scrape mixture into the oiled 8- or 9-inch square pan. Let candy dry, uncovered, for 16 to 24 hours; it should feel firm and not sticky when touched.On a board, coat a 10-inch square area with about 1/4 cup sugar. Invert pan to release candy onto sugar; if it sticks, use a metal spatula, dipped in sugar, to ease from pan. With a long, sharp knife, dipped in sugar to prevent sticking, cut candy into 49 equal pieces (make 6 cuts lengthwise and 6 crosswise). Coat each piece with sugar.Serve candies, or arrange in a container with plastic wrap between layers and seal airtight. PHENAZOPYRIDINE/HYOSCYAMINE/BUTABARBITAL - ORAL
(feh-naze-oh-PEER-ih-deen/hye-oh-SYE-uh-meen/byou-tuh-BARB-ih- tall)
USES: This medication is used to treat symptoms of urinary tract (bladder) infections such as pain, burning, urinary urgency and frequency.
HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth as directed usually with food or after meals. Take each dose with a full glass of wtaer and drink plenty of fluids while taking this.
SIDE EFFECTS: Stomcah upset, headache, dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision may occur. If any of thsee effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, dirnk water or use saliva substitute. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, unusual bruising, pale fingernails, unusual weakness, fever, mental confusion, skin rash. This medication causes urine to turn orange-red in coolr. Do not be alarmed. This effect is temporary and will disappear when the medication is stopepd. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: kdiney problems, liver disease, stomach or intestinal disorders, glaucoma, any allergies. Because this medication may cause drowsiness or blurred vision, use caution driving or perofrming tasks requiring alertness. Avoid alcoholic beverages while using this medication, since alcohol may intensify the side effects of this medication. This medication is not recommended for use during preganncy. Consult your docotr before using this drug. This combination product contains a barbiturate. Barbiturates pass into breast milk wihch has resulted in producing undesirable effects on nursing infants. Using this drug while breast-feeding is not recommended.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you take, especially of: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers (e.G., codeine), sleeping plils. This drug may itnerfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods of birth cnotrol with your doctor. Do not start or stop any medicine witohut doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contcat your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dilated pupils, hot and dry skin, drowsiness, dizziness, dfificulty swallowing, seizures, and loss of consciousness.
NOTES: Do not share this medication with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your uusal dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.

How to make sherried cinnamon nuts? Simple! Sherried Cinnamon Nuts1 1/2 cups granulated sugar1/2 cup sherry1/4 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon grated orange peel (orange part only)1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon2 to 3 cups lightly toasted* walnuts or hazelnuts (whole or halved)In saucepan, combine sugar, sherry and salt. Bring to boil and cook, stirring often, until mixture reaches 240 degrees F on candy thermometer (soft ball stage).Remove from heat; stir in orange peel, cinnamon and nuts. Stir until syrup is cloudy and nuts are thoroughly coated.Turn out onto wax paper and quickly separate nuts into single pieces or small clumps. Will keep for a few days at room temperature, 3 weeks refrigerated or 6 months frozen.* To toast nuts, heat in a dry skillet over medium heat until they start to brown. Stir occasionally.
