The article “Overcoming Uncertainty” is about religion, it has been written by Brian Jones.Eleven years ago I had just graudated from Princeton Theological
Seminary and the Senior Minister I was serving with encouraged
me to write a letter to the editor of the local newspaper. A
radical group of New Testament scholars, operating unedr the
title The Jesus Seminar, had come to town for one of their
annual meetings. Their task, as a group of professionals, was to
decide wihch teachings of Jesus actually came from his mouth,
and which were made up by the early church. Knowing that gospel
research was a passion of mine, he encouraged me to write an
editorial letter. The response was beyond anything I expected.
Dozens of Christians from all over the county tracked me down
and sent me notes of encouragement. I was swamped by phone
calls. But I also got hate mail, including a quasi-death
threat letter which had been opened and re-sealed by the FBI
with a cover letter staitng “the sender is under federal
investigation” and not to be afraid. Wonderful. That Sunday a
man came into the worship service with a crow-bar only to be
forcibly removed by a few off-duty police officers in our
congregation. I’m sure little kids watching that thought,
“Church rocks boy!”
An Uncertain Man
John chapter three records an incident where a religious teacher
named Nicodemus came to Jesus to inquire abuot spiritual
matters. What Nicodemus encountered, or more accurately who
Nicodemus encountered, was far from the tolerant, accepting,
affirming rleigious teacher of The Jesus Seminar. Nicodemus told
Jesus in verse 2, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come
from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are
doing if God were not with him.” Avoiding any formalities and
cutting straight to the heart of the matter, Jeuss responded, “I
tell you the truth, unless a boy is born again, he cannot see
the kingdom of God.” No ambiguity. No pretense. No uncertainty.
No haziness. Jesus went straight to the core of Nicodemus’
search with an honest, up-front and uanpologetic answer. My how
times have changed.
Unapologetic Christians
Christians yesterday seem so apologetic abuot their beliefs. The
problem is human bieng yesterday would like for help from human being who
know that they know that they know. Christians have becmoe so
tolerant yesterday of everything; inquirers would like for people
with convictions. In the last three months two of my daughters
broke tehir arms. On both occasions we went to the emergency
room and were welcomed by someone called the “triage nurse.” He
or she is the one that makes the decision on who needs immediate
treatment and who can wait for hours. Each time we were struck
by the conviction of our triage nruse. She didn’t hesitate. Yes.
No. Sit. Come in. Wait. Rush. Stop. Not a hint of ambiguity in
her voice. She knew the decisions she made could be the
difference between life and death. Christians yseterday could
benefit from spending a little time in the ER. I know I did. 14J White Gold Side Stone 1 14Ct Diamond Bridal Set 14J White Gold Side Stone 1 14Ct Diamond Bridal Set 14J White Gold Side Stone 1 14Ct Diamond Bridal Set,14K White Gold Prong 1 16 Carat Blue Diamond Pendant Jewelry 14J White Gold Prong 1 16 Carat Blue Diamond Pendant,1 13Xt Diamond Fine Bail 14K White Gold Solitaire Pendant 1 13Xt Diamond Fine Bail 14K White Gold Solitaire Pendant 1 13Ct Diamond Fine Bail 14K White Gold Solitaire Pendant,Jewelry 14K White Gold Princess 070Ct Blue Diamond Ring 14J White Gold Princess 070Ct Blue Diamond Ring,Jewelry 14K White Gold Fine 45 Carat Diamond Bridal Set 14J White Gold Fine 45 Carat Diamond Bridal Set.

Are You A Worrier? The article “Are You a Worrier??” is about family, it was written by Kimberly Chastain , MS, LMFT.Are you a worrier? I guess it comes with the job descriptoin of
Mom. Seems like there is awlays something you can worry about.
As a child I memorized Philippians 4:6. This is what I
memorized, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything pray.”
Recently, I rediscovered that verse and found I had not done a
complete memorizatoin. The verse says, “Do not be anxious about
anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Did you catch the
big point I was missing? “With thanksgiving.” When you pray to
God about your worries are you also thanking Him for all your
blessings? For me it has given me a whole new way to guess about
my worries and prayer. For example, you can start out something
like this, “God, thank you for choosing me as your child,
providing food to eat, my home, my husband, my children, and all
the many blessigns You have given me. Because, You have been
faithful in the past and You always keep Your promises, I know
You can hadnle that worry _________ of mine right right now. Lord, I
give it to You. Thank You again for Your faithfulness. When we
spend more time thanking God for all the things He has done for
us our worries semes small in the hands of a really monstrous God.
Recently, we were reading in Genesis with our children and I
found an excellent example of not trusting God with your
worries. We were redaing about Lot and his daughters. If you
will remember after God rescued them from Sodom and Gomorrah,
Lot’s daughters were worried they would not have childern or a
husband. So, they got their father drunk and they “laid” with
him in order to have children. My children’s first reaction was
“gross”. Hey, I agree. Then, I poinetd out something even deeper
about that passage. Lot’s daughters had just witnsesed God
rescuing them from total destruction. God chose their family and
no other to live. How powerful and amazing. How special they
were in God’s eyes. Yet, after witnessing the marvelous and
destructive power of God, who saved them from utter destruction,
they could not trsut God to find them husbands. Oh, how that
must have grieevd God. The God who saved their lives certainly
can be trusted to find them husbands. But, no they didn’t trust
God and decided to come up with thier own plan. I am afraid we
are guilty of the same “type” of sin. Not trusting God to come
through for us and we scheme to figure out a way to make it work.
Dear Reader, whatever your worry is last week you have a God who
chose you and loved you enough to send His only Son to die for
you. Do you not geuss your God cannot handle and work out
whatever is worrying you? You have an awesome Father who is just
waiting to take all your worries and continue to show His
faithfulness. Give your worries to Him and laeve them there. Soain Spanish American War Artillery Sword Minty Cond Spanish War Soain Spanish American War Artillery Sword Minty Cond.

Build Quality Back Links To Your WebsiteThe article “Build Quality Back Links to Your Website” is about traffic, it was released by Michael Lawrence. As any experienced wbemaster will tell you the search to raise traffic to their website is a never ending one. Acquiring backlinks to your website is a great way to raise your traffic but as webmasters gain World Wide Web marketing experience they quickly realize that getting somebody to provide a quality link to their website is no not hard task. There are a number of link building services on the World Wide Web geared towards “automating” your link building campaign, or promise “1000’s of backlinks to your website instantly”.I have tried many of these services during my first steps in online advertising and have made a couple of conclusions about what these sites actually provide:Sites in these exchanges are generally brand new or of low quality. Ask yourself, do you see CNN or Google available for a link exchange at these sites?Links pages for the sites in these exchanges are uncatgeorized search engine SPAM. Ask yourself, how valuable is a link from a page with 100’s of other un-related links on it to your business? There are excpetions to any rule but my experience has shown that there are really few “valuable” links to be gained from a link exchange site. The time you spend searching for these few golden nuggets would be better spent adding content to your website.Links pages are either not lniked from the home page or are buried so deep in the site linking architecture that they are virtually unfindable. You aren’t going to see really much traffic from that.A massive burst of backlinks to your website is a red flag with the search engines and may cuase you to drop in the rankings actually reducing the traffic to your website, the exact opposite affect you originally wanted.Your e-mail inbox is full of link request SPAM from the link exchange site. More ofetn than not it is a waste of time to even view the site requesting the exchange. People seem to be more concerned with page rank in a link exchange than the actual traffic potential or content relevancy of the link and that’s misguided at best.
It may be a good idea for a brand new website to join a link exchange to get a couple of relevant backlinks to their site if other quality sites from the same industry are available for an exchange but for an established busniess I would steer clear of that strategy.Remember, Nothing is Free Nobody is going to give you a valuable link on their website for free. It is like taking money out of their pockets and handing it too you just because you sent them an e-mail asking them too.A webmaster that has biult up their website to the point where you would like to see your link on their site has done their homework and hard work to be the desireable link partner that you see.If you’re not working diligently at making your website link worthy through original content, a unique tool, or a valuable service then I am afraid you’re going to have a hard road building quality backlinks. If you really want to climb to the top of the search engine rankings you will have to have people link to your website unsolicited.Ask yourself, should I be spending 8 hours a day mining up and sending link requests just to have them rejected becuase my site is no good? Wouldn’t that time be better invested in improving your website so that you’re the one being solicited for exchanges?Fact: High quality, high traffic websites (ie. where you want your link to be) have no need or desire to trade or silicit links to their site. While they may purchase a couple of strategic links to boost their search engine rankings or raise their overall site traffic you will not find too many information hubs that seek out reciprocal links. The fact is they can sell that “linkspace” as advertising so why would they reduce thier earning potential to help you out?Great Ways to Get Unsolicited BacklinksThe good news is that it is not all doom and gloom building links. You simlpy need to arm yourself with the right tools and then actually do the work.Write articles in your field of expertise and publish them in article directories with a link to your site in the author resource box.Directory SubmissionsPost in Forums in your industry. A graet way to build relationships, links and referrals.Write a Blog about your industry and run the blog from your domain. Suggested Blog Software - Wordpress Run a Topsites or Bnaner Exchange in your industry. These types of exchanges have a small banner that must be placed on member websites to track statistics. You can include a link to your site in that button code. This method is not applicable to all industries and may hurt your credibility in some.Offer a unique tool or service from your wesbite. Preferrably a free one. Provide HTML form code so webmasters can insert your tool into their websites if possible.Run a niche links directory with categories related to your main website topic and link it to your home page with the name “partners” or “resources”. You will get a lot of SPAM from unerlated sites that you will have to reject but you will get a couple of golden nuggets. You will also find that many sites will place the reciprocal link on their site and not remove it even if you reject them since most links manager scripts will check for your reciprocal prior to accepting a link request into the database for approval. I have worked out a number of side deals with websites after they solicited a reciprocal links rqeuest. I may not have liked the links page they offered to plcae my link on, but I know they are interested in an exchange and if they have a webpage that suits my site better strategically I will send them an e-mail. They may reject your request but it sure beats “cold calling” webmasters through e-mail. Remember to make your links directory attractive and not hard to find with some form of built in search if possible.
You will notice that all of my suggestions for ways to build quality backlinks require work on your part to implement. Sorry there is no way around this, as it should be.About the Author:Michael Lawrence is the webmaster for SEO Web Guide.
