Mages (Magic DPS) Herald of Xotli, Demonologist, Necromancer

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

2) Sounds smart (hes an …ologist)

Why should I play this class?

General Necromancer Info: This is the games pet class, but be warned, the only way for them to tank is to dump points into hide and stand there hidden while they do there thing. That said the pet system is interesting. You get Pet Points. Each of the 11 (yes 11!) diferent pets have various piont costs. As you level up (or get certain spells and feats) this pool increases. So, you can have a lot of small fry, or a few really tough guys.

Heralds in PvP: Depends very much on who gets the drop on who. A startled Herald usually = a dead herald. If the Herald gets the drop, their much feared Fire Lance will make you feel all crispy. The Possesion tree seems to be PvP friendly, but the Avatar is still ok.

Herald of Xotli

Demonologists in PvE: Keep your pulls moderate and you’ll do fine. Like the Herald, you will be much better off with another class. In group PvE, AoE is your role.

3) Demonologists were too easy (…..)

1) Your role is redundant (ToS and company)

2) Your pet does little (still want info on Earth Walking…)

Necromancer in PvP: Lets just say I havent seen any posts on how thier Necro is rocking faces off…..I’ll just leave it there.

General Herald Info: An interesting hybrid class. A caster that does AoE damage, but needs to be in melee range. Strange but pretty fun. This class defies conventional classification the most.

Demonologist

2) Hybrid Class (has a strange learning curve)

1) You like Pets (lots of them…)

Why would I want to play this class?

3) Caster with a 2-Hand sword (…needs no explanation)

1) All flavors of AoE (31 in fact)

Demonologists in PvP: A tough one. AoE has never been great in single target

General Demonologist Info: This is a fairly typical mage age of conan gold class. Ranged Magical damage (mostly AoE). Thus far the Demo’s have problems in that other classes can AoE as effectivly, but also do other things like heal, CC, etc. Also though they get a pet, its mostly just a buff, despite the fact that there are Feats to up their pet damage. I am sure this class will be given a facelift soon.

Heralds in PvE: Can solo, but due to very squishy nature, its effectivness multiplies when with a tank or healer. Otherwise great high DPS AoE. The Avatar tree seems the most PvE friendly.

Why should I pass on this class

General Info on Demonologist abilities dont get much forum space. the best I can find is at hybes http://www.hybes.de/abilities.php?cl…logist&lang=en

1) Very squishy (beware of stiff breezes)

Why should I pass on this class

1) AoE (PBAoE to be exact)

3) …………. (……..)

2) Spells and Combos (both of which are awesome)

1) You will not pet tank (they dont hold aggro well)

General Info on the Herald’s abilities age of conan gold at http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=16257 by ShaolinDolomite

3) You like a challange (also see Necro and Assasin)

2) The fatality for unholy is awesome (Frozen Anger!)

Necromancers

General info on Necromancer abilities is sparse. Hybes has the most I’ve found http://www.hybes.de/abilities.php?cl…mancer&lang=en

Why should I play this class?

3) Your hate a challange (maybe this game isnt for you…)

fights. That said, The various Pacts of Set, while a long cooldown, Will up damage DRAMATICALLY. In a heavy PvP enviroment, you will only bring the pain 1 in 4 or more fights. In less PvP centric areas you can dish out good damage. I shudder when I think of the things Demo’s could be capable of in Large scale PvP……

Necromancer in PvE: The hiding thing is a safe way to go about things, but you have other opions too. Aside from decent DPS, mostly single target, you have some good de-buffs and drains. Like the other mages you do best when in groups.

2) Not heavy DPS (for the mages)

3) Feel like an idiot saying Xotli (ZOT-LEE)

Why would I want to pass on this class?

fant0m’s Havoc Leveling Guide (Spec Breakdown Included)

5) Remember to get out of melee range if you use a root! They can save your ass, but not if you keep standing next to what you rooted. You can root casters too, instead of getting out of range though you just run behind them, since rooted targets can’t turn, they won’t be able to keep casting on you. This is very useful pre 45-50, since the only CC you have is Storm Chains, but casters still hurt like crazy!

3) Use a CC, like Wicked Bolt (50+), Fiery Torment (45+, or 30+ after they change it), Hands of the Underworld (50+), or even Storm Chains. These accomplish the same effect as Shock spam, reducing your incoming damage. I would especially recommend going into CC mode when you see the “Empty Protection of Set” debuff on your char, because no matter how well you were tanking before, you’re about to die when you see that.

Before I get into the feats, remember that there’s no reason you have to see what you’re going to hit with your AOE to cast it. As soon as you click the button, left click on the ground to start casting, you don’t have to wait for the green circle at all (it’s fine if you deselect your target, of course). Also remember that AOE has no line of sight, you can cast it around walls.

Finally, pay attention to your Protection of Set debuff. You will NOT be able to tank anything without damage absorb in your shield. If you see the empty shield debuff pop up, react immediately. If your HP pot isn’t on cooldown yet, use one. This will not be enough to keep you up vs. more than 1-2 mobs (and not long against 2 mobs). Hopefully you will have CC that isn’t on cooldown or at least a stamina pot that you picked up. Spam your CC and start running. You won’t be able to get more than 1 AoE off vs. a decent group of mobs before dying, if that. Melee mobs do tend to be really bad at hitting you if you just run away from them, so using what stamina you have and kiting them around until your shield refreshes is highly recommended. You will probably HAVE to have an HP pot running to do this without dying though.

4) Use a longer casting spell. Chaos Blast (70+), Thunderclap (60+), Hellfire Stream, or something of that nature. The first 2 augment your AOE well, and it’s well worth it to slow down your SB/IoA spam to throw these spells in there. Hellfire Stream is more of a filler if you’re trying to kill your main target fast and Shock is down (after every other SB/IoA combo).

2) Use Shock. It helps to kill one mob as fast as aoc gold possible to keep the incoming damage low.

First off, I hate leveling with single target age of conan gold damage. We are an AOE class, we should use AOE. When I level, I spam health pots a *LOT.* They only cost about as much as you get from a single mob, and as every time you’re using them you kill at least 3 mobs, why not? I don’t AOE grind from level 1, but eventually you will realize when you have the power and spells available to you to start AOEing.

On potions and food. You shouldn’t need mana or stamina aoc gold pots, but health pots are a must. Stock up on around 40 of these every time you run low, and whenever you pull a good sized pack of mobs, use one. Wait until their hits take off initial HP for the burst of the health pot (a few hundred HP, depending on the pot level). DON’T wait until you are at half HP though. Every second you have that pot running is more HP gained, and more survival time. Especially if you are fighting a tough pull, waiting to lose much more than the initial burst of your pot almost always means death. I usually keep a stock of HP and Mana food (~15 each) and use them when I know I will be grinding or killing mobs for an extended period of time. Focus on food that adds a lot of total HP and mana food that adds a lot of mana regen. I only use stamina food that I find on the ground to save inventory space (it’s better than throwing it away, eh? And lets you sprint more).

Basically you should size up the area before you run in. Watch out for Archer/Ranger type mobs, they hurt a lot until you close into melee and they stop shooting arrows. The benefit of these mobs is their melee damage sucks, but once they start they don’t go back to arrows. Be careful of body pulling more mobs when you run in to do this though!

Hi, this is a guide I just wrote to instruct new Demonologists on which Feats I think are useful, and the order I think they should be invested. It starts off with a general Playstyle discussion, Feats allocation is covered in the second post linked here.. This build is for leveling purposes on a PVP server, with some PVP abilities thrown in as they become available. The main focus is AOE grinding and mana efficiency. There is some wiggle room, there are some points that you can get in different orders (at this time).

Sprint through the mobs (don’t worry about exhaustion, I’m never seen my spell get pushed back while exhausted) to round them up, pausing next to Archers so they follow you. Casters you unfortunately can’t do much about, so generally you will have to stop next to them and AOE down what you’ve gotten so far. Alternately you can range pull with either Shockstrike or Shockblast. Starting with Shockstrike means 1 mob will die fast, which lessens the damage you take.

1) Just wait, it’s only half a second.

If you want to pull more mobs after you’ve gotten situated, take the time to target them while SB or IoA is casting. Since they are ground targeted AOEs, there’s no reason you need to target any of the mobs you are killing. I like to pull with Shock or Hellfire Stream, though occasionally I will use Shockstrike for very far mobs, since it has the longest range of our spells.

Start alternating Shockblast (SB) and Inferno of Amber (IoA) as soon as possible. You will notice that because of a “flash” on the icons after their cooldown is up, you can’t cast SB with no downtime if you cast it, then cast IoA, then try to go back to SB. You have several options here.

Reanimation is pretty incredible now with utility, Im not joking…

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

However, for the bad news…

Corruptors, at least for PvE, still kicking ass and taking names for melee pets and AoE/Damage is concerned.

Talk about tossing us a “utility belt”, I was VERY impressed with the changes made to Reanimation, VERY IMPRESSED.

Yeah Nightfall got hit hard, big time, but anyone aoc gold complaining about Reanimation is a complete tool. As much as I was joking about “utility” before, looks like IF FUNCOM keeps this in place, the jokes on me. With this last patch, assuming nothing changes with the Reanimation tree, we truly are a pretty powerful pet class.

Im watching the 2 80 necros in my guild just destroy people, yeah they get owned from time to time, but ESPECIALLY with how incredible the Blighted Ones are right now, pet necros are going to have some interesting builds popping up utilizing our “drain” dominance now.

Mutilators, cant tell anything really, appears the DoT they apply is doing more damage, nothing mind boggling though.

All I gotta say is, HOLY **** BATMAN!!!!

Necrotic Bombs, they buffed these guys BIG time, although not enough damage to “solely” rely on for PvP at least, I can see some very INTERESTING ways to use them for group combat, especially sieges.

These are what we fooled around with:

Ok been playing around with every pet I could muster, along with some guildies.

Blighted Ones, G fning G, couple of my aoc gold guildies are destroying people with them now, mainly melee, but casters are having a hell of a time as well. The mana and stam drain, with void now is unreal. Im betting it gets nerfed, its “too” good. Although I dont want them to touch it, its pretty damn sexy.

Yeah Archmages and Blood Arcanists got toned down for sure, not sure how I feel about that. With the buffs our pets DID get in the form of “utility”, its really tough to say if over all this is better for the “pet” junkies out there.

Nightfall, eek sorry guys, not sure what to say, it is pretty bad from what I saw in action. I dont have any actual numbers for Nightfall, just a ton of cussing in frustration over vent as the 2 necros tried their old builds out.

Im an asshat, I can admit it and I did have a tad bit too much fun causing some trouble on the boards, but if Funcom’s vision for the Necro was to be a pet class, they are doing just that, and a great job I might add.

Harvesters, for PvE, are you kidding Funcom? This is WAY too good to be true, there is no way they are gonna keep these guys where they are, as much as Im in awe of the mana regen they give, Im gonna go out on a limb and say Funcom is gonna tone it down unfortunately.

Life Steelers, another just WOW oh WOW, from what I can tell, tripled the amount they heal, however feated they dont do a significant amount more.

#6 -RESERVED-

Ok I’ve been both Conflag and Havoc and both trees have the ability to increase the damage you do by a percent. Conflag by 25% (Unholy Hate *10|1* + Tome of Erlik *15|3/3*.) Havok on the other hand gives you a 50% increase, which is A LOT (Lore of Skelos *35|1* + Tome of Erlik *15|3*). Now if you average in all other damage increases (Pact/Bloody Pact/Archfiend/Flame Body/Heart*consumed* Etc..) You should be hitting for at least 1600-2200(guesstimate) on average possibly more. I Feel that when I use a Damage modifier I still feel like I do the same damage. The damage to our main DD spells need some tweaking, the min and max damage need something not asking for a lot on this. Critical hits are also something that annoy me. I’ll Shockstrike a mob for 1600 and crit for 200 more damage since the damage range is so hit and miss. The amount of +damage gear we wear also doesn’t seem to really get averaged in that well either. Definitely need some work in the damage department, as a posed to fixes.

#1: *Damage*

#4: ” Funfactor “

We need more, enough said. This goes for all caster classes as well.

#2: *Pets*

I know the game still has only been out for not even a month yet. This is why we need to be patient, let Funcom do their thing. Were not the only class that needs help..Trust me!

A simple request, please add more detailed information in what feat we decide to invest points into. I’ll leave the actual feat idea to you guys over at Funcom, although I really was thinking thunderclap would be more like *Repulse*. A quick note on which tree is right for what you consider pvp/pve. Havoc is more CC friendly with more burst, nice range and great AoE damage. Conflag is more DD friendly. 2 second casting time on FoG really makes out for some nice constant dps, Short range. It comes down to if you want a knock back for pvp or not when choosing between the to. People also don’t be driven away from our pet feats that affect their buff. Now I bet you asking yourself “Didn’t he just tell me to stay away from pet feats?”. You are indeed correct but there is a difference between a pet damage increase feat and pet buff increase feat (commonsense right?). In each tree, Havoc has *Hell’s Embrace* Which gives your *Demon Guardian* pet an additional 80ish hp to give to you and 180ish to give to your party. 380ish hp to party and 120 to yourself total, 2 point feat. In Conflag there’s two, *Hell’s Passive* and *Hell’s Blood*. Passive gives your *Demon Avenger* a considerable increase to her thorns shield, although it’s a five point feat. Blood Gives your *Demon Slave* a minor increase to the regeneration that is given to the party and yourself, for 2 points it’s not that bad. On a side note consider the *Demon heart of Chatha* feat which increases the buffs of your *Demonic Heart* incantation (go figure right?), increases the resistance to stun and fear by 15% - 30% total as well as the regeneration of the buff as well. You can check out this feat planner, if you feel the need to dabble.

Now I know this isn’t wow but Funcom, why bother with pet feats if our pets are nothing more than walking buffs? I’ve tried pact of earth walking and its makes your pet do 400% more damage for about 20 seconds. 400% of 43 isn’t all that impressive. Our pets are also very boring in the display department, Now before you go off on a rant, because yes she’s topless but using color display to show which pet is kinda lame. Aside from the *Demon Warlord* with her super powerful damage bonus (1%?) and aoc gold kick ass armor, It’s ashame that Funcom didn’t really have the time to really give it a twist. Look the *Demon Warlord* looks great but she needs a buff to the buff that she gives. My suggestion some basic +to damage or to be more original a stackable on hit damage bonus maxing at 3. Consider the sprites of our pets , as in the *Demon Avenger* could have thorns around her thighs and our *Demon Slave* Could have Broken Chains on her wrists. Also Funcom, Impish Horde needs a lot of tweaking, Suggestions, have the pet that desummoned resummon after the Impish Horde duration has expired. Consider giving the little buggers a buff of their own as well. Look it is a 70 point feat after all.

#3: *Feats*

Lets face it, as much as I like pressing one key for one spell it gets boring. I’d like to request that SOME spells have the need for us to combo another spell. You could call it “spellthreading”. Now your saying to yourself “Relgos you’re retarded, there already is spellweaving!” Heres an Example on my theory. Spellthreading cannot be used while spellweaving, it goes on a cooldown and depending on which level you are you will have to combo more spells accordingly, but (and this is the best part) if you screw up the spellthread you take instant damage or get a nasty debuff. Lets stay I use Gates of Hell for an example, I can spellthread it with FoG to Constrict my enemy, then spellthread it Shock to cause the gate of hell to act like a lightning rod to cause lightning to proc while their under aoc gold the effects of the spellthread. Now this is interesting because while spellthreading you have different animations while using the correct spell in que. The formula works like the combo system but just with spells. Using spellthreading will cause a different effect to the target apposed to using the spell alone. This is a general idea for all caster classes not just demonologist’s.

Suggestions? Please fell free to share.

#5: *Fatalities*

http://hybes.de/featPlaner.php?class…logist&lang=en

Hello hello men and women of the demonologist forums. As you can already tell from the title of the thread I’m here to give some constrictive feedback. I’ve been a demonologist since early access and without a doubt there is bugs and conflicts with the class I’m sure a lot of people are aware of. I am how ever level EIGHTY, there is age of conan gold nothing I cannot stand more is when people who aren’t at end game give their problems with the class. Which is fine but its more of their opinion of “Hey I’m not one shotting things, but the barb over there just one shot me” type of deal. So heres my feedback, No crunched numbers just some things I’ve seen on the surface.

Preists (healers) Bear Shaman, Priest of Mitra, Tempest of Set

1) AoE damage (some of the best in the game)

General Info on the Preist of Mitra: A more traditional healer. But make no mistake, still a unusual class to play. Because of the nature of the heals in AoC, you pay alot of attention to using your CC and dishing out damage, stopping occasionally to re-HoT everyone. The closest thing you get to a direct heal is a feated spell the Lance of Mitra which deals damage to enemies in its path, and heals allies in its path. That said, it is still the role of choice for those who liked healbots in traditional MMO’s. Yes you will have to relearn, but its great fun.

2) Crazy regen power (health, mana, and stamina)

General Tempest of Set Info: This is a great choice for healers who like to pump out damage. Lots of it. You can still heal, but your AoE give’s the ToS the highest DPS of the priest classes (and easily one of the highest in the game!). They had two distinct classes before, and decided to smash them together, keeping everything from both.

Why would I pass on this class?

1) Solid single target DPS (especially for a healer)

3) Medium armor on a healer (basically the 4th best armored class)

3) AoE + Healing (it needs to be said again…)

1) Loooooong Fights (you rocky balboa your fights)

Preist of Mitra

2) You don’t light lightning (its kinda all they do)

Tempest of set in PvE: They are one of the best solo PvE classes. Easy. They can take large mobs later in the game and blast them with powerful AoE, and heal through the mop-up. In groups, there’s nothing quite like you healer topping the DPS charts (figuratively, they dont have them in game yet) while still healing the team.

Thanks for reading.

Why would I pass on this class?

1) You like a more traditional healer (don’t laugh, I love being a healbot)

2) Tough early leveling (1-20 is physically painful)

Bear Shaman

2) Good Crowd Control (biggest CC toolkit in the game)

Why would I play this class?

Preist of Mitra in PvE: Not too much trouble really. All your CC options allow you to take on sizable mobs and heal yourself through it. In groups you are recognized (unofficially) as the best pure healer in the game so will not have any trouble finding a group.

I found a nice comprehensive thread for tempests by igkunow http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=54684

2) Healing (about as good as the other preists)

Well, that all the classes in Age of Conan. I hope this helps some folks that are having a difficult time choosing a class. My biggest problem when I started was no one said in general what the classes do.

3) Despite above you still like doing damage (seems nuts dot it?)

1) A little squishy (less CC and less armor)

Bear Shaman in PvE: You basically just have to get to 25. It is a hard class to get there, but after that the class begins to take shape. Solo (post 25) you shouldn’t have too much trouble taking moderate groups. In Group PvE, you bring alot to a team, DPS, Heals, and buffs in the form of Claw totems, Spirit totems, and Manifestations.

Why would I play this class?

General Info on Preist of Mitra abilities can be found at http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=27596 by raidium

3) you have Yogiphobia (fear of smart bears)

Why would I play this class?

General Bear Shaman Info: The BS is a relatively new class type. A melee healer. Not only are you capable of DPSing, but many feats augment your healing when you do. If you enjoy the healbot preist type, this is not for you. If you want to have near limitless supplies of mana and stamina, along with health regen, and get right up in the face of your enemy, read no further.

Tempest of Set in PvP: Dangerous, but because they have less CC then the PoM and little armor, they are a smige less of a threat. If you get the drop on them. If they see you first, they can open up at range and hit you hard before you know what happened. In group PvP, they will rarely cluster up so you are diminished, but you can still hit two or three with AoE.

1) Not too high on the damage scale (relavite to the other preists)

3) You don’t like having it all (are you sure you play MMO’s)

Tempest of Set

I will try to make adjustment if you guys feel my remarks where waaaaay off, but in general I’m trying to comment on general playstle. So keep that in mind. I will also try to keep up with the changes if this thread doesn’t fall into purgatory.

Bear Shaman in PvP: Fair quite well. Some classes fear you as you just keep on comin, others will kite you to death. Overall, you prolong the fight and try to force them to make a mistake. age of conan gold Group PvP, I think a BS will allways be welcome for all the great stuff they bring to the table.

Preist of Mitra in PvP: Very scary. Though a priest doesn’t age of conan gold do the raw damage of other classes, you will rarely get the chance to actually do anything as all their CC keeps you fighting for 1/5 of the actual fight. That and the fact they can heal themselves means they make formidable PvPers. In group PvP, their role changes little. CC and keep up the health of you party.

Why would I pass on this class?

General info on bear shaman abilities can be found at http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=13464 by Czarr

2) You dont like to juggle lots of CC (can be intensive)

3) Terrible fatalities (one of my favorite things about this game)

II. Waylayer Feats (Continued)

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Tooltip: Increases the penetration of all shots, age of conan gold reducing the effect of directional shielding and damage deflection.

- The tooltip says it all for once. A decent-damage melee attack, with more points adding damage.

Shattering Shots: 5 Ranks, Active, (? - Cooldown needed), Requires 5 Ranks in Piercing Shots.

- Straightforward feat. Each point invested grants +1 Penetration Rating, helping to ignore more armor and directional shield defense.

Booby Trap: 3 Ranks, Active, 60 sec. Cooldown.

Tooltip: Has a chance of breaking the target’s shielding.

Tier 8: Requires Level 60, 35 points in the Waylayer Tree.

- The AoE knockback is triggered as soon as a mob runs into range of the trap. The knockback radius is based around the area of the target who first triggered the trap - A point-blank AoE. (? - Confirmation needed)

- Any enemies within the effect of the attack is dealt a standard knockback effect.

- The tooltip basically says it all here. Each point invested increases age of conan gold the duration of the DoT for Shield Bash, and increases the damage for Blocker’s reflection.

Piercing Shots: 5 Ranks, Passive, Required for Shattering Shots.

Tooltip: Improves Shield Bash, adding a DoT to the attack. Also upgrades Blocker by adding Spike Shield, doing damage to attackers.

- As the tooltip suggests, this is classified as a column attack, and thus is enhanced by feats in this tree that alter column attacks.

Tier 7: Requires Level 50, 30 points in the Waylayer Tree.

Linebreaker: 1 Rank, Active, (? - Cooldown needed), Requires 5 Ranks in Grievous Injury.

Tooltip: Grants the Ranger an ability that enhances the Penetration Rating of all team members for a short time.

- Fairly straightforward feat. Each point invested increases the raidus of the AoE knockback effect by 1m, up to a maximum of 3m. (? - Confirmation needed)

Tooltip: Grants the Ranger a trap doing AoE knockbacks. More points age of conan gold will increase the AoE size.

Improved Shield Bash: 2 Ranks, Passive, Requires 3 Ranks in Shield Bash.

Combo - Shield Bash: 3 Ranks, Active, Required for Improved Shield Bash.

Tier 9: Requires Level 70, 40 points in the Waylayer Tree.

Tooltip: Increases the damage done by Hail of Fire’s bleeding wound, and decreases the target’s attack.

- (? - Does adding points simply add to the damage dealt?)

- This skill applies a “-1000 shielding bonus” debuff to your target. At this time, the debuff appears to do nothing, as testing has shown no difference in damage dealt versus any amount of shielding.

Tooltip: Grants the Ranger a melee DPS combo. More points in this feat will increase combo damage.

Hail of Fire: 5 Ranks, Passive, Required for Grievous Injury.

- (? - Tooltip is fairly self-explanatory, but I have no idea on stats per points invested. Also, does the feat simply apply an attack debuff on targets affected?)

Tooltip: Improves the Piercing Shot combos by adding a chance of inflicting damage on the area targeted and leaving lingering wounds on the victims.

- As far as additional points go, the first rank grants you the ability. As for the damage increase, each point invested increases the DPS of this combo by 1%, up to a maximum of 3%.

- Blocker will only reflect damage when you do not block the damage. (Kinda counter-productive, huh?)

- Adding more points to this feat increases the duration of the shield debuff.

- (? - Need to know the Penetration Rating gained through the buff. I’m assuming it scales per level, as per Focused Fire. Also, what is the duration?)

Grievous Injury: 5 Ranks, Passive (?), Requires 5 Ranks in Hail of Fire, Required for Linebreaker.

- This enhances Piercing Shot to add an additional area effect across the path your bolt travels. In addition, those hit by the effect are inflicted with a bleeding effect.

Absolute Precision: 1 Rank, Active, (? - Cooldown needed.

Tooltip: Deals damage and knocks back all enemies in a column.

- This trap shares a cooldown with Leg Trap and Fire Trap.

Conflicting/Misleading information regarding the Demonologist role or class description.

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

* When using our Hide ability our pet does not hide along with us, essentially giving away our position and negating the point of hiding.

* How is mana scaled with each level? Does the amount of mana per INT also scale with each level?

* Stun and Fear resists are not displayed so age of conan gold how do we know how much our buffs are doing?

* How is magic damage scaled with each level?

* Our feats lack proper descriptions and the lack of aoc gold information regarding how the feats work or are applied makes it very difficult to plan your character.

* Demonologists should be able to Portal/Gate themselves and/or party members to different zones. At the very least we would like to be able to summon people.

So great is their occult knowledge they can bargain a servant of hell into doing their bidding, a guardian daemon of warped beauty and terrible might.

* How are resists determined?

* Request the ability to choose the sex of the age of conan gold demon, change the demons name, or change the size of the demon (beyond the limits of the shrink spell). Pets should stand slightly behind us when we are idle so that they don’t interfere with targeting, looting and gathering.

* Pets can die due to bad pathing or terrain changes (i.e. Drowning and Falling).

* Feats increase max damage not min damage so your range of damage increase but you still can hit for the minimum damage of the spell with of without feats. Feats should increase min AND max damage to reflect accurately actual damage increase (increasing max damage by 20 doesnt increase the average damage by more than half if min damage isnt increased as well)

* The lack of working/worthwhile feats (mainly in the Conflagration Tree) make choosing feats a very one-sided choice. The higher tier feats in both trees are severely lacking and give us nothing to look forward to as we progress.

Taken from the Age of Conan’s Community Website:

* Spell animations are lacking or missing for a number of spells.

* Horrible caster itemization results in most 60+ caster using level 30-50 items or items meant for another class. There are less than 5 level 60+ quest rewards meant for casters. 90% of all high level cloth rewards/drops are for Assassins.

* How are spell damage modifiers calculated? Are they added to the end of the spell or at the beginning?

* No clear role defined for Demonologists. Maybes its the intent of the Devs to have all casters do roughly the same damage or have roughly the same CC. If that’s the case then what specific role does the Demonologist fill that can’t just as easily be filled by another casting class with more utility?

* We need buff timers/countdowns that display without having to mouse over them.

* Pets must be resummoned when changing zones.

(Example: spell does 233 - 543 dmg, average 388. age of conan gold feat increase dmg by 20 from tooltip this increasing the max by 20 gives 233 - 563 dmg average 398, the actual damage increase is barely 50% of what the feat says).

* Gear that adds stamina is currently a negative thing for casters as the stamina drop while sprinting is a fixed %.

* Demonologists are currently using the Necro Spellweaving affects and not the one shown by Funcom when they announced spellweaving.

* Demonologist Pets do not exhibit the advertised “terrible might” and instead are providing yet another buff that must be recast when you die/zone. Pet damage is non-existent and players have been lead to believe that Demonologists are a pet class when indeed they are not. To add fuel to the fire the pet buffs are pretty much useless and buggy pet control makes them more of a hindrance then a help.

* Does INT add to Magic Rating/Damage? How much does it add per point of INT?

6. General Complaints, Gripes and Requests

* Demonologists lack the utility to be more viable in some/most situations when compared to other casting classes. The lack of dependable crowd control, worthwhile group buffs, or a pet that can off-tank in an emergency places us at the bottom of the list when groups start to form for PvP/PvE.

5. Not enough information is provided to effectively calculate/determine how a skill/ability affects our class.

* Demonologists are not the strongest casters. The potency of their spells are definitely matched and in most cases exceeded by other casting classes. Every other casting class can do as much or more damage than us and are able to wear better armor, heal themselves, require less buffs, and have more utility.

* Even with subpar damage, due to a lack of effective stuns/roots, lower HP and low AC, Demonologists are not able to solo as effectively or on the same level as other classes as you approach higher levels. This also results in fewer Chain Kills and creates a necessity to group when questing in areas where mobs come in multiples. This forced grouping is not something other classes have to deal with.

* Overload: Has no numbers to let you know how many times it’s stacked. The only way to know is if you hover over it then it’ll have a (2) or whatever. It’d be nice if it maybe started the blue and then filled halfway to a red when you have 2 on and then all the way red when you hit your third so you knew you next cast was mana free.

* Demonologists have too many buffs that are required to be recast every time we die. At level 66 there are currently 10 spells that have to be recast upon death. Some of these buffs are required just to get “normal” spell damage.

Quote:

* If melee types are affected by STR,DEX and CON, then are the other stats beneficial for casters? What effect does WIS have on casters?

The demonologist is the mightiest of sorcerers, wielding the power of hell and earth and capable of conjuring pillars of flame or titanic storms of electricity.

Demonologists concentrate solely on sorcery and the potency of their spells is unmatched, as capable of eliminating a single enemy in a hellish inferno as destroying enemy lines with forks of lightning. They can sacrifice their own life-force in return for more occult power and they are most potent when they can devote their spell energies solely to attack.

2.1.0.3 Stance-dancing explained further

Watch the video. http://files.filefront.com/Stance+Da…/fileinfo.html

This will be mostly feedback-driven information, as I don’t feel like I have enough experience pvping to offer my opinion on this.

I use nothing other than a very average keyboard and mouse, with a shitty desktop mic. The only thing special about my setup is I have dual monitors so I can browse teh interwebz while getting bored grinding gold/power leveling guildies.

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4…picture002.png

Shielding bonuses essentially creates a false shield that acts the exact way a guardian’s real shield would. The only difference is a guardian’s shielding value on a shield is normally much higher than the +shield we can get from our buffs.

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4…picture007.png

I don’t like doing this at all. Like age of conan gold I mentioned before, this doesn’t work 100% and you usually end up with a mob hitting you anyways. Dodging means you won’t be swinging your weapon, which isn’t a good thing if you consider you’re essentially giving your enemy more time to kill you.

2.1.0.1 Combos (1-hit vs. 5-hit and everything in between)

2.1.2.2 What kind of gaming pad, keyboards, mice, and mic do you have?

NO! Here’s some pictures.

2.1.1.1 Shielding bonus, shielding

2.1.0.2 Combos (Generic soldier vs. conqueror specific)

Just because you dual-wield doesn’t mean you can’t do knockbacks - it just means you have less at your disposal! Keep a 2hander in your alternate weapon slot and use shift-r to switch to that weapon for a quick knockback before switching back to dual wield.

2.1.0.4 Dual-wielding and knockbacks, happy together

2.1.2.1 Video of endgame feat abilities

Essentially, stance-dancing simply means you are switching between defensive and frenzy stance to maximize effectiveness. Best time to use frenzy: when the mob is on the ground after you knocked him back/stunned him, right before the execution of a combo, or when you want to see big numbers (but keep in mind you’ll see big numbers on the damage you take as well!). Best time to use defensive: tanking, fighting multiple mobs, surviving or trying to, or when crossing the distance between a caster’s range and your own.

It’s quite straighforward - maximize damage parsers by using max rank combos, though use shift-# to switch action bars to stack buffs/debuffs, or throw in lower-ranking combos to save stamina or if you’re not fighting a mob that really warrants the use of a 5hit combo.

I never use the generic soldier combos unless aoc gold I feel like hitting a specific direction because of the mob’s shield positioning. The stam cost isn’t bad, and neither is the dps, but I prefer the dots offered by DW combos or the buffs/debuffs offered by 2h. As should you.

2.1.2.4 Does armor look like crap at level 80?

2.1.1 Mitigation

Need more time to edit a video of nothing but bottom-tree feat abilities, but for now I have a vid with whirlwind in it… sorry. More to follow.

Active blocking. Perform this by holding the X button. It consumes a good amount of stamina, so it’d be a good idea to have inspire the ranks up if you plan on using this much. Essentially what it does is take half the normal amount of damage. Active blocking significantly increases your chance to parry, and has at times mitigated 100% of the damage a boss has tossed at me - a real lifesaver during those tough boss fights! Most people bitch and moan that this is hardly ever used. If that’s true, I’m pointing the finger at YOU, not the devs! All heals pretty much are hots, anything you can do to give it time to increase your health will be helpful. Most bosses can’t be stunned/knocked back, so active blocking may be the only respite you can find!

2.1.2.3 Conqueror vs. Guardian vs. Templar

2.1.2 Miscellaneous

2.1.1.3 Active blocking (again)

2.1.1.2 Double-tapping (dodge)

Tempest of set play guide.

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Ahhh, this is why you rolled TOS isn’t it? Well here we go.

Level 30

50-70 This is where you need to do it. At this point quesing should be foregone if you seriosly need to hit the level cap fast. Apply both hots+stormcrown. Pull with melee and sprinting through mobs. Cast stormfield. Begin active blocking. If there is a caster or a boss mob in the pack, throw out a column lightning to greatly dent their HP, its possible to 1 shot some mobs with column.

End Game(80) End game is more of a toss up. You can go heavy thunder for group utility, or heavy lightning for group damage. Don’t forget the priest tree either.

General Utility, Mix : http://feats.goonheim.com/tempestofs…c4t1a5c3d3g3t2

Update june 2nd I got in contact with a forum moderator who already helped to move one post to be immediately after the first one. I have edited some other semi-unneeded posts ive made in this thread to be used for more reservation space and i have asked him to re-arrange them for us. Sorry about the crappy organization guys, hindsight is 20×20

1) Cone heals will NEVER stack, not from the same class, or multiple classes

Thunder, Stormcrown, idol, stam/mana regen : http://feats.goonheim.com/tempestofs…l1n5s1t2a5b5h3

Thunder, AE preparation : http://feats.goonheim.com/tempestofs…c3d3g3j3k2l1t2 ***

20: You should be seeing your first maxed out stormcrown around this level ( assuming your thunder )

AOE/AE= Area of affect. Used to describe a spell age of conan gold that affects multiple targets, either in a cone infront of you, or in a circular radius around you

Healing can be broken down by the following “rules”

*****************

Part 1: FAQ and About the author

30: Stormfield. This makes AEing so much easier. Apply hots and stormfield, hold down active blocking, let mobs die.

About me

Hot=heal over time

The Great question. The reason so many of us fight! THUNDER .VS. LIGHTNING

Part 5: Level 30, 50, and 80 builds.

Part 1:FAQ and About the author

Lightning, speed questing : http://feats.goonheim.com/tempestofs…b5e3g4h1i5t1t2

Pre-End Game(60-79) Here the specs REALLY blend. To be perfectly honest, you should have a good mix of points in both.

Part 3: Healing

30-50 Try not to, although if you are in dire need of xp, you can do it. Apply both hots+stormcrown. Pull with melee and sprinting through mobs. Cast stormfield. Begin active blocking. You can throw in a double-tap back to get +50 avoidance.

3) The self heal / HOT on a cone heal is 1/2 as effective as the heal and HOT your teammates recieve

These will be leveling, and end game builds. *** denotes the build I used at that level

Part 4: Milestone levels

Level 50

*****************

2) The initial heal on a cone heal will not be applied if you already have the HOT from an earlier cast cone heal ticking away

Idol : http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthr…highlight=idol

Subjective. Tos is more offensive, POM is more defensive, BS have more group utility unfeated.

I’m having problems in tortage, do things get better?

TBA

I played a TOS from EA to 80. 5th (I think) on aoc gold my server. I AE grinded the majority of the way, and since have been testing play styles and specs in group pvp and dungeons. I read the forums everyday and contribute quite a bit. Now here is the guide…

Part 2: Thunder VS Lightning

In solo PvP this class really gets its shine from column lightning and improved cobra stare. No matter what build you are at level 80 I strongly recommend you spec these two feats. Rogues get much easier at this level especially when you start to gear your level 80 quest rewards and boss drops from dungeons like scorpion caves. 1h+shield is preferable for this type of combat, due to casting concentration bonus. I highly recommend you max perception and hiding simply because there are times you can root someone and run away far enough to stealth again. HP seems to take a big jump between 75-80 and so does damage. Problem is hots start to fall behind.

Level 80

1 Man PvP

Part 4: Milestone levels

1h+sh=1 handed weapon plus a shield

SF= stormfield, a level 30 AE pulse spell

Mid Game (30-60) These are where the specs start to blend together. Improving stormfield is almost necessary (lightning). Although you can choose to max out idols and get some cool spells (thunder)

4) Non-cone HOTS will stack to a maximum of two. This can be inter or cross class. IE two non-cone hots from a TOS can be active at the same time. One non-cone TOS and one non-cone BS can also be active at the same time. If You have 2 TOS and one bear shaman. Two TOS cast their non-cone, then bear shaman casts his non-cone, the bear shamans newer hot will override the hot with the smallest duration left(this needs to be tested more)

Why was quicksand/idol nerfed? They suck now!

Part 6: Feedback on level 80 TOS Play

Is TOS better then POM/BS

Breaking this into 3 sections, 1 Man PvP, 3+ Man PvP, 6 Man PvE

important note: this guide is still in a very aoc gold important stage of feedback, editing, adding, and collecting information. I leveled one TOS to level 80, and for the good of the community I am leveling another one to test various specs. This alt will have the money to respec every 5 levels and test master efficiency and speed. I will also include a destiny write up after this second TOS hits max level. The best way you can help is submitting and compiling your own information. Flaming my thread will do this community NO good. instead provide constructive critiscism. Big thanks to everyone that has posted so far.

TLOS= triumphant life of set, an almost useless feat now that is deep in thunder. It was very recently nerfed (june 2nd) and is a hot topic for discussion

Part 9: TOS tricks o’ the trade.

Thunder or lightning?

Early Game (1-30): Lightning will flesh out more damage on 2-3 targets. Thunder will bring more mana regen and utlity. This is pre 30.

Part 11: Breakdown of spells and abilities

1-30 Don’t. Take maybe 2-3 mobs a time. Trust me, its simply faster and easier then AEing.

VJ= Vitalizing jolt, our main emergency single target heal

Post 4: http://forums.ageofconan.com/showpos…3&postcount=14

Part 12: Feats

80: End game, enough said.

Yes, feats greatly improve the strength of this class. As do several “milestone” levels and spells we attain. NOTE: Do not be afraid to experiment with feats for this class while leveling. Our feat trees are extremely well designed and its almost impossible to gimp yourself while leveling.

Part 8: Leveling partners. Who and how.

Post 1: http://forums.ageofconan.com/showpos…41&postcount=1

*****************

Lightning+thunder+priest : http://feats.goonheim.com/tempestofs…a5c3d3f3g3t2a5

Part 2: Thunder VS Lightning

6 Man PvE

Part 8: Leveling partners, who and how

*****************

Post 3: http://forums.ageofconan.com/showpos…2&postcount=12

6) All hots have a 15-20 second duration, and cast fairly fast. This means ot maximize your contribution to the group, you need to remain active during the time your HOTS tick

Lightning, stormfield, column, stormcrown : http://feats.goonheim.com/tempestofs…s3t1a5c3d3g1t2 ***

3+ Man PvP

Part 5: Level 30, 50, and 80 builds.

This is a VERY in depth question, that I will answer in Part 2. NOTE: There is no best spec despite what some people might believe.

Continued in next post.

*****************

In my opinion we are the strongest of all 3 healers in group PvP. This is because our feats when grouped can really unleash some serious hurt. Divide and conquer/shock and awe make group PvP very hectic and almost requires some form of voice chat too coordinate (although it is worth it). We need to be positioning masters because of cone healing. Also I found keeping stormfield up in PvP actually makes quite a difference. Feats really do give this class some SERIOUS fury.

*****************

Part 7: AE grinding, when where and how

70-80 Group, group, group. Find a partner, and AE packs of 15-20 mobs at a time using the above formula. Trust me, its faster, cooler, and better money.

Post 2: http://forums.ageofconan.com/showpos…61&postcount=2

I can’t really lay judgement yet. There are about 15 different builds I plan on trying and until I have I can’t really say how strong we are or not. Unfeated are hots are nice, although running with two healers in a dungeon is almost a necessity until tanks start to gear up.

quicksand :http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthr…ight=quicksand

50: Feats blend, you have column lightning (most likely) and can 1 shot a caster mob, and you’re stormfield should be maxed, and a maxxed stormcrown. This is when AE REALLY heats up

Part 6: Feedback on level 80 TOS play

Part 3: Healing

important note #2: When this guide is near completion, or as close as it can get, it will be put in its full format at a page @ blogspot.com, and remade as several sequential posts to ease reading. thank you for your time

Part 7: AE grinding, when and how to do it

SC= stormcrown, a feated thunder spell

LOS= life of set

Part 10: Links

5) 30 second recast heals (Vitalizing jolt for TOS) place a debuff on everyone healed preventing them from being healed by that specific heal again for one minute. You can have different classes chain big heals though if needed.

15: Life of set, this will greatly increase your ability to take multiple mobs

What are all these acronyms?

Bow Ranger Guide

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

As far as I know, the only way to enter first person is to mouse wheel in. Once done, a reticule will appear on your screen, where the best way to aim is to hold down the right mouse button.

Now has an animation associated with it, knocking the ranger out of stealth. Be aware now.

FF adds BIG damage. About 20.5 DPS to my bow for 15sec at 40 and grows every level, and is on a 1min cooldown. Its amazing and your forced to take it.

You can mix and match each side, grabbing many feats from each side that will significantly increase the ranger’s potency. One of them has a chance to root an enemy in place on any shot!

As the awkward title hints, and previously mentioned, the ranger is really two classes rolled into one; the Ranger—Bow, and the Waylayer—Crossbow. And each of these has two “specs”. You can ignore the other line for now, as it does not benefit the ranger in any noticeable way in raw damage, and complements stealthers end game. Im going bow, so I have no advice to give on crossbows.

*This patch has seemed to raise its damage by nearly 25%. Seems unconfirmed though*

Of the three highest DPS classes; Ranger, Barbarian, age of conan gold and Assassin (funny how they are all in the same archetype), the ranger has the highest hit points, the best damage absorption (medium armor/shields), and the greatest survivability. And ranks as the single highest ranged DPS class by far, and is on equal footing with the Barbarian in raw damage output.

III. Aiming-The frustratingly useless FPS aspect of AoC

1. Introduction to the Sharpshooter Tree

2. Stances

*In its current state with the salvo “bug” (God I hope it’s a bug) giving a significant decrease in overall damage, the Ranger is in somewhat disrepair. Shatter Stance nerf also was overkill and so the class as a whole is hurting. Hopefully all will be fixed or at least normalized in the next few days.*

Both are great, and are about even in PvE. In PvP aoc gold Firestance will pump out slightly more dps, because it gives a nice elemental damage, and is unaffected by armor rating.

For the first 9 levels and that beginning quest, you have about the same dmg output as any other “rogue” in melee at that point. Your bow damage is atrocious. No joke, in the time it takes to line up a shot literally dished out 4x the damage in melee. Your regular bow shots deal only about ¾ of that of a normal swing, and you lack any true damaging ranged shot.

Three things; increased range, increased accuracy (as accurate as long as the target is under the crosshairs), and a 10-15% increase in damage modifier. Its gain is marginal, and you’re more likely to miss then to hit. it could be useful in keep defense situations however, other then that, do not enter into it, it will make you quit the class.

Sulfurous Burst/Blast is an aoe stealth detection “flare”, blast makes it a small dmg in the aoe to knock people out of stealth. Its great, but useless for leveling, so at the moment it’s a waste

Quick Shots a good compliment, and best invested at 33 after the root ability in the tier 5 is maxed. Gives shorter CD’s to your combos.

Rapid Stab blows, don’t get it.

The Ranger does not come into its own until 17+ and shines at 20+

New

Cold Nerves add significant stam reduction to all combos. Get it, love it, breath it.

The Ranger might stand as the most powerful pvp class in AoC. Its my opinion, but the way the class is designed with all its survivability, and its sick damage, they are almost impossible to kill if played correctly.

Immolation and its follow up. The fear is a nice oh **** escape tool that will be invaluable later on.

Tier 4- Quick Shots, Silent Shots

Salvo is the first 2part chain combo. It “shoots” three times before it begins the salvo induction. The “three times” comes from activating the shot, and then completing the chain, it then fires three .75(ish)drawn shots that seems to deal around 200%-300% extra damage. This shot is extremely potent and is enough to outright kill any mob without upper shielding once the ranger gets a stance

Splintering Puncture blows, don’t get it.

Tendon Rupture is great. Allows the Ranger better kiting, by giving +5 sec to Pin Down.

V. Feats-The 4-part split personality of the ranger

“Marked” Talents

Sniper Stance gives 30.0 DPS +5 damage (rises by .5 per level it seems) and seems to give an overall additional 9.0 DPS to the bow. It also increase accuracy by 2%. That accuracy does not improve.

Eventually you’re going to want to stick with once stance, even though there is only a 5sec cool down between the stances. And stick with one “ultimate” skill. Volley, or Flame Barrage. Both make your attacks aoe for a short time.

Silent Shots is more pve, and is required for sniper stance. I don’t like sniper stance, and I don’t like this ability. Imo skip it.

Tier 1- Focused Fire

These are you’re two big hitters, the rest of the skills are self explanatory.

*Note*-If you are new to the game, you need to invest attribute points; this is done in the character & attributes tab. I highly recommend maxing out stealth and putting the rest into climbing and the one that increases your running speed out of combat.

There are two lines in each one. Both give “stances”. The Fire side gives Fire Stance, which adds 30.0 DPS to your bow, +20.0 fire dmg (rises as you level slightly) and a fire proc which seems to be about ~20%.

http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=51874

Eagle Eye adds 5m to your attacks, take it, but only age of conan gold after Bow Spec.

*Salvo has gone numerous changes; currently it appears to be somewhat bugged, from my testing, the damage gained from stances aren’t applying to Salvo*

I will later add how to beat certain classes later on in s separate guide unless a mod can add a post below this.

Ricochet is awesome, Adds a small chance to snare the target for 4s by 65%. Aoe is NOW WORKING!

Bow Spec adds about 6.5 DPS. Take it

Tier 6- Sulfurous Burst/Blast, Cold Nerves, Deadeye.

Sulfurous Burst

So what the ranger actually is.

Even a moron can surmise that the ranger is a “ranged” class. So roughly after 20, the melee skills gained from leveling cut off sharply. The ranger is really a combination of two beta classes, the waylayer and the ranger. You can defiantly see elements of both classes in the feat tree (more on that later).

These are what I view as the must haves; I will break them down by Tier.

Available to them, they have two snares, one melee, one ranged—both 65%. And an instant, small radius AoE, 10 second root on a one minute cool down. The root is instant and can be cast on the run, has no stamina usage, and is “chance to break on damage” rather then null when damaged.

With all of these “checks” you might ask what the hell is gained?

The second is the Uper-left, Top, and Uper-right shielding check.

Tier 2- Bow Specialization, Eagle Eye.

Fire Trap It sucks, but it’s a pre-req. grab and max to move down.

These two talents took significant nerfs on 6/2/08 and are nothing more then talent sinkers, as Volley only effects white damage.

At this point it comes down to preference. For PvP grab:

Tier 3- Rapid Stab, Splintering Puncture, Tendon Rupture, Ricochet

Flame Barrage over volley. Flame Barrage is a much harder hitting salvo that fires with out directionals, and causes aoe burn damage. Great skill, defiantly pick it up.

VI. PvP

IV. Skill Breakdown

Critical Aim has an irritating bug associated with it, and at the moment, does not cause the combos to crit. Apparently this is by design…so skip it, white crit damage is not worth 3 talent points.

Tier 5- Firestance, Sniper Stance, Knee-capping

And then it happens…you ding 10. Level 10 marks the unofficial beginning of the ranger career. Two very important things happen at level 10. First you can get a new bow (~20.1 dps bow) from the weapon smith, and you get the godly skill—Salvo.

II. Beginning-And all that it implies

Salvo-What it is, and what it is not.

The Sharpshooter=bow. And it’s the one to stick with, bow just seems to outshine crossbow in many important ways, the most prominent being salvo, which can only be preformed with a bow.

Wont go into the stances again.

Here is Legatos Feat Guide. Its an excellent resource if you wish a more indepth feat explanation. I only give a recomdendation, but little in the way of explanation, his guide is the direct opposite.

Knee-capping adds a small chance on ALL hits (salvo is counted technically as one hit…sort of) to root the target for 4-5sec. its imbalanced in pve and pvp, and you’re an idiot to pass it up.

Tier7+

Still, grab the bow from the quests, and use it to pull.

Thanks for reading

Heartseeker-This is gained at 40 and is the next big hitter in ranger chain. Although I cycle through all skills, it’s a quick recharge, and hits hard. Not as hard as salvo, but its only a 1-part chain, aoc gold and has a quick induction time. It complements the other 1-part chains very well in PvE when salvo is on cool down. It also seems to crit much more frequently, but this is unconfirmed.

Deadeye adds a straight 9% damage increase to all combos. It’s a sexy 3 point talent. Get it

If this weren’t enough, in the sharpshooter line, they can spec for a talent that causes the target to burs into flames, running around in fear (can later be made to aoe…), giving it yet another oh **** button. It should also be noted, their from stealth attack with a bow is a short duration mezz (about 10 sec), but its buggy as hell with Firestance

3. Feats, and my recommendations.

Now that that’s out of the way, why is this skill so age of conan gold damned frustrating? Well, it has two checks; the first is the crosshairs check. Its applied to actually hitting the enemy. ALWAYS AIM FOR THE HEART/CHEST.
