Why should I play this class?

General Necromancer Info: This is the games pet class, but be warned, the only way for them to tank is to dump points into hide and stand there hidden while they do there thing. That said the pet system is interesting. You get Pet Points. Each of the 11 (yes 11!) diferent pets have various piont costs. As you level up (or get certain spells and feats) this pool increases. So, you can have a lot of small fry, or a few really tough guys.

Heralds in PvP: Depends very much on who gets the drop on who. A startled Herald usually = a dead herald. If the Herald gets the drop, their much feared Fire Lance will make you feel all crispy. The Possesion tree seems to be PvP friendly, but the Avatar is still ok.

Herald of Xotli

Demonologists in PvE: Keep your pulls moderate and you’ll do fine. Like the Herald, you will be much better off with another class. In group PvE, AoE is your role.

3) Demonologists were too easy (…..)

1) Your role is redundant (ToS and company)

2) Your pet does little (still want info on Earth Walking…)

Necromancer in PvP: Lets just say I havent seen any posts on how thier Necro is rocking faces off…..I’ll just leave it there.

General Herald Info: An interesting hybrid class. A caster that does AoE damage, but needs to be in melee range. Strange but pretty fun. This class defies conventional classification the most.

Demonologist

2) Hybrid Class (has a strange learning curve)

1) You like Pets (lots of them…)

Why would I want to play this class?

3) Caster with a 2-Hand sword (…needs no explanation)

1) All flavors of AoE (31 in fact)

Demonologists in PvP: A tough one. AoE has never been great in single target

General Demonologist Info: This is a fairly typical mage age of conan gold class. Ranged Magical damage (mostly AoE). Thus far the Demo’s have problems in that other classes can AoE as effectivly, but also do other things like heal, CC, etc. Also though they get a pet, its mostly just a buff, despite the fact that there are Feats to up their pet damage. I am sure this class will be given a facelift soon.

Heralds in PvE: Can solo, but due to very squishy nature, its effectivness multiplies when with a tank or healer. Otherwise great high DPS AoE. The Avatar tree seems the most PvE friendly.

Why should I pass on this class

General Info on Demonologist abilities dont get much forum space. the best I can find is at hybes http://www.hybes.de/abilities.php?cl…logist&lang=en

1) Very squishy (beware of stiff breezes)

Why should I pass on this class

1) AoE (PBAoE to be exact)

2) Spells and Combos (both of which are awesome)

1) You will not pet tank (they dont hold aggro well)

Necromancers

fights. That said, The various Pacts of Set, while a long cooldown, Will up damage DRAMATICALLY. In a heavy PvP enviroment, you will only bring the pain 1 in 4 or more fights. In less PvP centric areas you can dish out good damage. I shudder when I think of the things Demo’s could be capable of in Large scale PvP……

Necromancer in PvE: The hiding thing is a safe way to go about things, but you have other opions too. Aside from decent DPS, mostly single target, you have some good de-buffs and drains. Like the other mages you do best when in groups.

2) Not heavy DPS (for the mages)

3) Feel like an idiot saying Xotli (ZOT-LEE)
