			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We caught up with Jeff Mariotte, author of the new novel trilogy Age of Conan: Marauders to find out a little about what its like to be working on the Conan license!</p>
<p>  Here is what he  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">age of conan gold</a>  had to say when we asked what it meant to him to be part of the license team!</p>
<p>  Age of Conan is more than just a game—it’s a multi-pronged effort by Conan Properties International and some talented creative partners to expand upon parts of Robert E. Howard’s Hyborian Age that Howard, during his too-brief career, didn’t have a chance to thoroughly explore. To be asked by CPI and Ace Books to become part of that process, by writing the first-ever young adult novels set in the Hyborian world, is an honor and a privilege for a long-time REH fan like me.</p>
<p>  My trilogy is called Age of Conan: Marauders, and involves three young characters, two Aquilonians and a Pict, who find themselves thrown together by circumstance and must pit themselves against the dark and brutal Hyborian world. The first book, Ghost of the Wall, has just been released by Ace, with the next two scheduled for late March (Winds of the Wild Sea) and late May (Dawn of the Ice Bear).</p>
<p>  On my website I wrote an essay about what Conan and the works of Robert E. Howard have meant to my life. You can find that essay here: Conan and Me . I also supplemented the essay with posts on my blog that expanded upon some of the topics it touched on. Those posts start here , and continue for about the next week. I post occasionally about Conan and REH-related things, so you may want to check back occasionally.</p>
<p>  My great thanks to Funcom for giving me the opportunity to spread the word to Conan fans worldwide. We all love spending time in the Hyborian world, and Funcom’s new game will be an amazing way to make the experience real!</p>

<p>Colossus of War: Increases your damage. Starts with nothing, 20 stacks at level 80 equates to Colossus of War (20) (+49.5 dmg to melee damage). Stacks are added upon successful melee strike, and have an increased chance to occur when Lumbering Hulk is active.

<p>Shield of Retribution: +15.3 Melee Shield.  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">aoc gold</a>  Essentially gives our character a &#8216;false&#8217; shield value. Group members receive +7.6 melee shield. Feated, +15.3 melee shield, +25.6 melee shield, chance on getting damage, increases damage by GoDS strike by 15%. Group members receive +7.6 melee shield.
<p>Effect: 47 mana and 47 stamina / 2 seconds for six seconds.
<p>Effect: Chance on getting damage, renews 110 stamina.
<p>Fire weave does 69-114 points of fire damage, -1% fire invulnerability to target, and procs Lingering Wrath (if feated). Lingering Wrath does 18 points of damage every second for 8 seconds. The math: One proc of fire weave is (+3.2 fire melee/ranged dmg)(+144 fire damage)(+69-114 fire damage) = 216.2-261.2 damage, not counting negative fire invulnerability OR feat.

<p>    * Damage Over Time (DoT)
<p>      The finisher to the combo, especially with the higher tiers, is a very lengthy animated sequence of attacks. Even if you kill the target within the first couple strikes, and the target is at 0% health, you&#8217;re still vulerable to their attacks until the finisher animation is complete. This offers a dead mob a few seconds to get some extra hits in and if they manage to kill you within that timeframe you die and their HP is refunded in full. Which brings us to our last con&#8230;
<p>II. Reavers

<p>      (-) CON(!): HP Refund
<p>      The finisher is the  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">age of conan gold</a>  most damaging part of the combo. You have the option to bypass the starter dmg and cut straight to the big numbers if you play your cards right. On your way towards a mob you can start up CoS, pull off the initial combo commands, activate Excellent Balance, approach the mob and use the finisher once you&#8217;re within range. The KB threat has been eliminated with Excellent Balance, only thing you&#8217;ll have to worry about is getting stunned during the finisher animation.
<p>I. Introduction
<p>IV. Reaver Combos &amp; Abilities: Combos, Abilities
<p>      Add crit dmg to the hardest hitting combo in our repertoire?
<p>    * Auto-Facing
<p>      Reaver Barbarians specialize in using two 1H weapons simultaneously; one in the main hand and one in the off-hand. The ability to equip two weapons grants a couple obvious benefits - you can take advantage of extra stat boosts from both weapons and have an off-hand chance-to-hit.
<p>I. Introduction
<p>      CoS has a 10 second non-universal cooldown. Each tier is subject to an individual cooldown allowing you to pull of consecutive CoS combos and compose a combat rotation of destruction! Very counter-effective in regards to hate management in group endeavors though&#8230;
<p>Note: My word is not law. This is a guide, a tool to help you achieve a better understanding of the class. Play the game the way you want, but if my experiences can benefit your gaming then more power to you.
<p>      As far as equipment goes, you&#8217;ll want to reserve your Main Hand (MH) for your best and hardest hitting weapon. Place your runner-up in your Off-Hand (OH). The reasoning behind this logic is your off-hand wpn is subject to your off-hand hit percentile. You&#8217;ll want to hit with your best wpn as much as possible, hence put it in your MH slot.
<p>    * Dual-Wielding
<p>II. Reavers: Dual-Wielding, DoT, Auto-Facing
<p>      If for any reason you break away from the target during the combo finisher, or if you die during the long atk animation, all dmg dealt to the target is refunded in full.
<p>      &#8216;Nuff said.
<p>      The combo finisher is always a frontal assault. Hence, CoS&#8217; damage can be severely reduced if the target were to focus shields to the front. Good PvPers know to shift shields to the front if a DW Barbarian&#8217;s coming at them. Also, pulling off the entire combo can take a while and to pull off the finisher you must remain stationary. The combo is easily avoided if your target is conscious of your actions.
<p>III. Anatomy of Cyclone of Steel
<p>          o If a common mob is at 10% health and you initiate CoSIX to finish it off&#8230; &#8230;you&#8217;re fired.
<p>      (+) Pro: CoS Consecutive Rotation
<p>      Along with burst damage we have a more subtle way of dishing out the pain. While seemingly insignificant at times, our DoTs contribute to our overall dmg output. We have a handful of skills and feat abilities which accrue bleeding damage to our targets and aid them in dying faster.
<p>      You have a 5 second delay between strikes - use this to your advantage. While you can enhance the starter dmg of the combo, the bulk of CoS&#8217; damage comes from the last (frontal) input. Get a feel for how much damage each tier is capable of dealing so you can achieve optimal stamina reservation and waste less time.
<p>Content
<p>    * Both trees have their pros and cons and players will argue, to no end, which is superior. The general consenus confides Reaver excels in dps output while Berzerker is considered best for PvP and survivability. Prior to the FB nerf zerker was widely considered, hands down, the best tree for Barbarians. Knockback and stuns drastically improved survivability and FB could rip a new one like none other. However, I&#8217;ve witnessed a steady trend involving Barbarians reaching their 50&#8217;s switching over to Reaver to maximize their damage output.
<p>      While also incredibly essential to tanks, Barbarians are able to strike multiple targets with their combos, depending upon positioning. Being able to position targets properly within your attack range/cone can significantly enhance a Barbarian&#8217;s killing efficiency and speed.
<p>      Occasionally the finisher will proc an instant fatality on a mob and an instant fatality puts a grin on Crom&#8217;s face.
<p>          o If a common mob is at 10% health and you initiate CoSIX to finish it off and your intention is to link a kill&#8230; good job!
<p>      Up into the higher tiers CoS can deal over 1k per swing (and hits several times). The probability of downing an equal level mob with a single CoS combo is very high. Add in our CoS specific feat tree abilities, atk enhancements and watch the numbers scale. It&#8217;s a very powerful combo, however, there are some significant flaws. Below I point out some obvious an&#8217; some not-so obvious pros and cons regarding the bread and butter of our combo rotation.
<p>      (-) Con(?): Miss Miss Miss
<p>Mad&#8217;s Reaver Guide
<p>      I strongly suggest turning this Interface &gt; Targeting feature Off. While it&#8217;s convenient to be automatically glued to your target, there&#8217;re more benefits presented when you&#8217;re not forced to face a single target.
<p>&#8212;-
<p>      (+) Pro: Mobility and Pre-emptive
<p>      Thanks to delayed input between combo commands we&#8217;re able to remain mobile until it comes time to pull off the finisher (which you definitely do not want to move while performing).
<p>      The Reaver tree will be the focus of this guide. I&#8217;ll attempt to point out the pros and cons of the DW spec and hopefully help some people to gain a better understanding of Reaver Barbarians.
<p>    * We love it, everyone else hates it! There&#8217;s a reason why you see a lot of QQ over this combo&#8230;
<p>V. Epilogue
<p>      You can finish the 10% mob off with the primary CoS strikes, make use of the 5 second grace time and pull the combo finisher off on another mob for a chain kill. Positioning yourself on the battlefield and measuring the distance between mobs is crucial. You&#8217;ve got seconds to get to the other mob before the combo times out. The finisher of the combo is usually strong enough to destroy a mob, so you&#8217;ve just downed two mobs with a single combo. This conserves precious stamina and allows you to get through the grind a lot faster.
<p>      Now that stats actually  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">aoc gold</a>  mean something there is a miss ratio involved and many Barbarians have been complaining they miss with CoS about 1/4 to a third of the time. After doing some calculating I found my chance of land CoS is well above 80%. While missing can be frustrating, stay reasonable - you can&#8217;t hit 100% of the time.
<p>      (+) Pro: Predatory Instincts &amp; Spirit of the Panther
<p>      (-) CON: Vulnerability
<p>      (-) Con: Easily Avoided, Easily Defended

<p>Just thought I would take a moment here to write up a quick FAQ for all new Dark Templars or people that want to try out the Dark Templar class. If the community likes it I’ll see if we can get it stickied and hopefully it can also be edited in the future as more information is discovered and shared.
<p>Frenzy stance will increase damage, but the Dark Templar will also take extra damage as well. Frenzy stance is mainly used for single or double mobs of equal level for fast killing or while in an instance or raid and NOT tanking.
<p>Dark Templar:
<p>Sword and Board is just terminology for Sword and Shield
<p>A: AoE = Area of Effect, so a personal AoE is an  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">aoc gold</a>  effect (spell) surrounding the caster.
<p>Sadism is an inherent ability of Dark Templars which is with us from the get go, but one will not see it unless grouped up with others. When grouped with other classes, sadism will proc when group members are taking damage from mobs. Sadism stacks till 10, at which point it will start pulsing AoE type Unholy damage. The buff of Sadism is increase in lifetap and damage. (Specific numbers to be added in the future)
<p>3. extreme cruelty.
<p>A: No, and they probably will never get to use 2 handed weapons, the DPS increase + life leeches would overpower the DTs. Sword and Board or Sword and Talisman, learn to love em.
<p>In case you haven’t read the class  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">aoc gold</a>  description here is what a Dark Templar in <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">Age of Conan</a> is:
<p>Holding control and double tapping 1/2/3 will put all three shields in that position. Holding control and tapping in the direction of a shield and then the desired direction will move one shield there. While not entirely useful yet, it can help if you know what your enemy will be using (say, throwing all your shields straight up when a ranger is going to salvo).

This will allow you to move around a bit while whacking things to get everything clustered up nicely. Once everything is clustered up nicely proceed to unleash combos and watch the mobs drop like flies.

This is done by holding down the default key of X. WARNING: This will drain stamina fast, Good for holding out just long enough for a healer to pop a heal onto you. Use it wisely.
<p>One thing to remember. If you zone, your stance is removed even though the icon is still there. In which case, clicking it to remove it will in fact put it back on.
<p>Armor: Heavy armor, medium armor, light armor, and shields and talismans

<p>A: Slam is used by all melee classes to allow the lower levels a taste of the AoC combat mechanics. Slam will can be used after level 6, but it will no longer knockdown opponents or throw them back. Some DTs will use Slam as a finishing move for increased Fatalities, but I haven&#8217;t tested this nor use it much as I find the other Combos that DTs use to be more efficient for leveling.
<p>Q: Where are my Spells / Abilities? I think I’m bugged….
<p>Once you&#8217;ve gained stances as a solider, one only has to click on the stance to enter it. You&#8217;ll notice your characters will shift their weapon slightly as well as seeing an icon down above your combo bar above your health meter. To leave a stance, one justs clicks on the stance icon again (frenzy or defensive) and you&#8217;ll go back to normal stance.
<p>A: No you are not bugged. Spells can be accessed on the Spells and Combo tab at the top of the screen or by pressing the “B” key. Combos and abilities are on the left, Spells are on the right. Sometimes spells wont’ show up till you click on the friendly tab of the spell side. Spells are available after level 10.
<p>Q: What is Active Blocking?
<p>Experienced players are known to &#8220;Stance Dance&#8221; which is fancy talk for switching between stances to maximize damage given and minimize damage taken. This is tricky to pull of but is possible with practice and good timing.

<p>*NOTE* The Dark Templar is the SUM of all his abilities. There isn&#8217;t one super feat or power. It&#8217;s when all skills and abilities are added together that the power of the Dark Templar comes out.

<p>A: Stances allow the solider classes to either migitate damage (defensive stance) or increase damage (frenzy stance). While in Defensive stance a solider will do 15% less damage but also allow the Dark Templar to absorb more damage. Defensive stance is for 3+ mobs or tanking in either an instance or raid setting.

<p>A: Of course they can, According to Funcom all solider classes can tank, each class just does it differently. Guardian is known for single target Main Tanking due to high HP and Plate. Dark Templars are known for AoE tanking through their Auras, Covenants, Life Leeches and Sadism. The Desecration tree of the DT feats is geared for AoE tanking ability.
<p>Talismans are off-hand items wielded by DT&#8217;s and casters. Supposedly to help in damage. Currently there is no noticeable increase in damage when yielding a talisman. So far talismans look like books, not sure if they will get different skins later on.

<p>We are aware of a code issue that is causing Siphon Unlife damage dealt to pets to scale with bonus magical damage. This is unintended and will be fixed soon.
<p>Damage Coefficients
<p>-Shatter now additionally works on targets affected by Frost Blast and Ice Shackle
<p>However, we will be looking at the duration of Despoil the Soul in order to make it less of a burden to keep active.
<p>-The bonus gained from +magical damage has been increased on all damage over time spells. Lifestrike coefficient increased by 600%, Flesh to Worms coefficient increased by 375%, Gelid Bones coefficient increased by 360%, Mark of the Devourer coefficient increased by 265%. Other small adjustments were made to all direct-damage spells.

<p>In addition to the pet splash damage and above mentioned fixes coming soon, the next two data updates should have the following Necromancer changes. Many of these were intended to be in today&#8217;s patch, but did not make it in.

<p>-Dark Knowledge and Vile Insight will no longer appear  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">age of conan gold</a>  as Hostile spells. (They will still persist after death.)
<p>-The Deathless Acolyte: Arcanist&#8217;s chance to trigger the Arcanist&#8217;s Knowledge has been doubled
<p>-Despoil the Soul duration has been substantially increased
<p>-The bonus magical damage granted from Mystical Attunement has been doubled
<p>Update #1:
<p>The first half of the changes should be in on Thursday, while the second half of the Necromancer-specific updates will be in the patch after Thursday.
<p>We will continue to review the damage to make sure that Necromancers are doing the target DPS at given levels. It is intended for Necromancers to be a competitive damage class at the top levels of DPS. Spells will continue to be adjusted until this the class is performing at the correct levels.
<p>-Frost Blast&#8217;s area of effect has been changed to be a 90 degree cone in front of the caster
<p>-Despoil the Soul is no longer removed on death
<p>There was a data issue that has resulted in some  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">aoc gold</a>  spells, specifically Lifestrike and Flesh to Worms, not gaining the new damage bonus from +magical damage. This will be corrected in the next patch. (Lifestrike will gain 65% of your bonus magical damage instead of 11% as currently being used.) This will be a significant increase in DPS with Despoil the Soul active or high levels of +magical damage gear.
<p>Similarly, the Archmagus pet was dealing roughly 25% higher base damage than intended and was lowered. This was a decrease of roughly 25% without feats, and 20% with feats. This is also in line with other AoE effects in the game.
<p>Despoil the Soul
<p>-The splash damage of the Deathless Acolyte: Magus has been increased from 10% to 30%, with 4 meter range and a maximum of 5 targets
<p>-Casting Frost Blast will no longer cause the Necromancer to get stuck in a casting animation
<p>-Freeze will now clear the target of all Necromancer damage-over-time effects when cast, this will reduce the chance of it breaking accidentally on damage
<p>As was mentioned previously, the change made is an increase to the effectiveness of this spell compared to the previous mechanic. The decreases in damage mentioned above and from other sources are not due to this change, but due to other changes or issues. This mechanic will not change as it more accurately reflects the intended DPS increase of the feat when compared to DPS from each pet point.
<p>Parasitic Soul Swarm and Unholy Hands were dealing  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">age of conan gold</a>  significantly more damage than similar spells and rebalanced to do the correct damage for AoE-based spells.

You will notice that the buff from either of the specialized fire/electrical/unholy/cold buffs added to your base magic rating will equal your resist rating, or any other &#8220;target&#8221; rating for your level.
<p>Maybe im missing something here&#8230;
<p>For instance, the target at level 80 is 317 ratings, which is achieved with the base value + the buff value from either school rating buffs. (Obviously, if you have Archmage, the buff will also apply to both schools instead of just one.)

<p>I have seen a large number of &#8220;what should I play?&#8221;, and &#8220;Is this class for me?&#8221; type posts. So I an making a general guide listing a general guideline for all 12 classes in <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">Age of Conan</a>. My wish is to centralize this information to make it accessible to new players. I will not go into perceived class imbalances, as you can review class forums for how people feel on those matters. Also these are all my opinions made while constantly browsing the forums, so not only do we have  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">aoc gold</a>  very few end-game opinions, but this is release month with plenty of bugs. So without further ado&#8230;&#8230;
<p>Why would I want to play this class?
<p>3) Tactically Versital (lots of static click-ables)
<p>Guardian in PvE: As stated, if you have played a tank in nearly any MMO, you should not have too much trouble with this class.

<p>Soldier (tanks) - Guardian, Conquerer, Dark Templar
<p>General Dark Templar Info: Though the guardian is the baseline tank, the DT has the market cornered when it comes to AoE tanking. They actually get better the more enemies surround them, due to draining of life. This also gives the DT high survivability, despite being less armored than the Guradian.

<p>General Guardian info: This seems most in line with your typical &#8220;tank&#8221; archetype class. Middle of the road of the soldiers. The two weapon sets are Sword and Board (s/s or s/b) and Polearms. The former is the most tank friendly, at he latter is more DPS and AoE. The verstility comes with Stratagems (3 of them), Tactics (3 of them), and Maneuvers (3 of them). Click-able looooooong duration buffs that shift your static abilities around, allowing you to adjust you offense and defense. You can have one of each at a time.
<p>2) Dual Wield (a must have for some)
<p>Dark Templars in PvE: This is where they shine. Grabbing and holding large groups, and buffing the team, they are fantastic off-tanks.
<p>Why would I want to play this class?
<p>Conquerer General Info: This is for those  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">age of conan gold</a>  who wish to sacrifice some survivability for big damage. The 2-hand weapons are the most popular, but alot of people just plain like Dual Wielding. Also the buffs require a bit of managing, but are rewarding in a group. Those small numbers mean alot more with a full 6 friends. The buffs from the Conquerer are generally short duration, meaning you have to pay attention to your position all the time, and actively juggle them (as opposed to the Guardian&#8217;s long-term self buffs which are click and forget).

<p>Dark Templars in PvP: This is where they hurt. They are often ignored as they are hard to put down, and even when in frenzy, don&#8217;t do as much damage as the other tanks. The one niche for group PvP is versus casters. Mystical Bane consumes Mana as well as doing damage, and when feated, does solid damage at that.
<p>Guardian in PvP: Most classes have a healthy respect for the guardian. They have weaknesses, but they aren&#8217;t glaring. In group PvP, FunCom has given all the soldiers two Stances, Defensive and Frenzy. Usually, in group PvP, people ignore tanks as they are often hard to hurt and don&#8217;t do much damage. Try that to a guardian and they can pop frenzy stance and put the hurt down.
<p>2) AoE team buffs
<p>2) Squishiest of the tanks (&#8230;..relative&#8230;..)
<p>1) Multi-Mob Tank Supreme (you get better the more around you)
<p>Conquerer in PvE: Despite less defense, most Conquerers that wish to tank can do so fairly well. They are not able to tank those really tough mobs, or too many at once, but still, they do ok.
<p>Conquerer in PvP: By their nature, what goes for the guardian goes double for the conquerer in group PvP. A frenzy stance conq puts out obscene damage, especially for a tank. Solo, I haven&#8217;t heard too many complaints, and thier high damage makes them pretty fearsome.
<p>1) Very High Defense (You shall not pass!)

<p>2) Ignored in small group PvP ( or they just cant hurt you&#8230;)
<p>3) ???? (Can&#8217;t really think of any others)

<p>    * In general, we should only be using Frenzy stance when we are not taking damage. If you start taking damage, switch out of this stance asap. Balancing this stance should revolve around its damage/threat output, not our ability to mitigate damage while we are in it.
<p>    * The Guardian in general is expected to have high survivability with relatively moderate damage output.
<p>  11. Hateful Strikes (Soldier Feat) is limited in usefulness due to its long cooldown. Suggest making this passive or a shorter cooldown. (We already have Goad and Goad mob for reactive threat generation, do we need more active threat skills?)
<p>   5. Frenzy Stance could use a built threat reduction or cause it to suspend any innate threat abilities we have (like the taunt skill and other passive threat feats). As it is, Frenzy stance results in about a 50% increase in hate generation which is significantly limits the amount of dps we can do in a group role where we are not tanking.
<p>   1. Lack of sustained DPS - most of our damage comes from abilities with long cooldowns and our sustained damage can easily be healed through with HOTs or a potion.
<p>    * We are not great AOE tanks and will generally be limited in effectiveness to the number of mobs we can hit with our weapon (usually 3).
<p>I obviously have a vision of what I see the Guardian&#8217;s role to be and I am sure that will not match up with what some other people are thinking&#8230; my intention here is to reflect the consensus of the community rather than my own views, so I will attempt to take all feedback into consideration in order to make that happen.
<p>  13. Improved Defensive Stance (Soldier Feat) is underpowered compared to Ironskin which gives twice the benefit in any stance.
<p>Assumptions
<p>These assumptions are something we really need to debate about as a community. Do not consider them set in stone, feel free to challenge any of them, and let me know what you think.
<p>Top PvE/General Concerns
<p>   1. Multi-mob damage hit reduction. In PvE, this causes problems with holding aggro on groups of mobs when casters to not receive this reduction when hitting multiple targets. In PvP, this causes problems by reducing our spike damage if we accidentally hit another person - our damage is low enough to begin with that this can significantly reduce the effectiveness of our long cooldowns.
<p>   4. Guardians lack a way to snare at lower levels and at the higher levels you have to go several levels deep into the Juggernaught tree for Shield Snare and stunning charge which significantly limits Tempest/Polearm based builds.
<p>  15. Active Blocking and Side-to-side dodging require too much stamina to be effective.
<p>    * In PvE, the Guardian should excel at single target tanking and damage mitigation
<p>I have decided to remove the obvious BUGs from this list. Those are being tracked separately in the known bugs thread.
<p>   9. Polearm itemization is lacking, they are rare to begin with and half of them have caster stats. Often you can find one handed weapons equal or greater to polearm weapon damage simply because they are more common.
<p>  16. Allow a weapon on the hotbar to automatically equip when clicked, or add another set of weapons so that we can swap between S/S, Polearm and Ranged weapons without opening our inventory.
<p>   6. Anti-CC abilities do not work properly. Many of our stances, maneuvers, tactics and strategems are supposed to help mitigate CC abilities but they are broken.
<p>   4. Lack of magic damage mitigation abilities and itemization. This affects PvE tanking where we struggle versus casters. It also has a big impact in PvP where we cannot mitigate caster damage while everyone can mitigate melee damage by a significant amount.
<p>Top PvP only Concerns
<p>  14. Many combos and abilities do not scale up according to level so they eventually become useless at higher levels. (ie. Brutal/Enraging Strikes)
<p>Thank you to everyone who has contributed  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">age of conan gold</a>  to this discussion. Your feedback is critical to this process - whether you agree or disagree, have something additional to add, or you think I am a nutcase&#8230; It is all important. This is our chance to let the devs know what is important to us, so lets use it wisely. The more feedback I receive, the better idea I can get as to what is important to the community.
<p>   7. Lack of knowledge regarding stats. What exactly are Defense Rating, Heroic Defense, Taunt Skill supposed to do? Also, are there hidden modifiers based on armor type (and item level) or is it all in the displayed stats? We need more information to better evaluate if things are working properly.
<p>   3. Goad and Goad Mob (Soldier Feats) often do not work and when they do work, it is only for a couple of seconds which is not enough time to even get a combo off. Even if they were more effective, the timers for the Goad and Goad Mob skills are extremely long (2 and 5 minutes respectively) so they are not available in many situations.
<p>The devs are asking for a list of top concerns for each class and I have made an attempt to consolidate the issues the community is voicing into a list.
<p>   3. Unreliable CC - Stagger and Slam are on long cooldowns but can often be resisted by other players leaving us with no reliable means of CC. These combos are also extremely difficult to land on moving players. Intimidating Shout is more effective, but with a 10 minute cooldown, it is not something that can be relied on either.
<p>    * In PvP, the Guardian should excel at survivability, long reach via polearms and control via knockdowns.
<p>   8. Surging Health (Soldier Feat) does not appear to scale up with level and the amount of health returned is extremely small.
<p>  10. Cunning Deflection (Soldier Feat) - being on a 15 second cooldown and reflecting one attack results in a lot of micromanaging. Suggest making it a passive skill or increasing the number of  <a href="http://www.igxz.com/age-of-conan-gold-s.html">aoc gold</a>  attacks that it can deflect and increasing the cooldown (ex. deflect 3 attacks with a 45s cooldown).
<p>   5. Since sprint drains stamina on a percentage basis, this puts the Guardian at a disadvantage towards any class that does not use stamina to fuel their abilities. We are easily kiteable because of this and once we are out of stamina, we are extremely weak.
<p>   2. Tempest tree is very underpowered and broken - Riposte, Defiance, Higher ranks of Guard, Disable, Hateful Vengeance, Vengeance is Mine, Storm Strike, Disarming Agress, Eye for an Eye and Guard enhancement feats are all ineffective or broken to some degree making this feat tree very subpar.
<p>   2. Disable Combo - practically useless in its current state. Only removes 35 stamina from the enemy but costs us 200 stamina.
